Unika the lilac unicorn lived to dream. Her own undying wish: to help as many children as possible to realise their own dreams. Like a career consultant angel, she arrived in dim bedrooms as a child lay sleeping, their future life just an open book waiting to be written. And Unika would write the words they longed to read …

“Dream big,” she whispered. “Because years down the line, today’s little dream will arouse from its slumber like a mighty Pegasus, and in to the sky of dreams come true you will fly.”

And so policemen, nurses, artists, dancers, entrepreneurs and sport heroes were born. Unika would visit each child many years later as they slept like the heroes they were, unaware of her presence but nonetheless the scent of lilac would infuse their dreams.

Then one day she visited a little girl called Aimee, arriving as usual in a cloud of glittering lilac. Aimee sat straight up in bed and looked in her eyes. “You are real, I am not dreaming.”

Unika’s eyes glowed. “I am here to grant your greatest wish, who you wish to be when you grow up, the answer to a question some people never find.”

“That is easy,” stated Aimee. “I wish to write magical children’s books. I will write about you.”

And so it came to pass, seven years later. “Unika, the Dreamcatcher Unicorn” was published to an excited young audience. When a child finished the book, Unika would visit while they slept at night. The dreams on their lips were her command.

So dream big as though a unicorn is beside you, their misty magic in your eyes and their mystic power in your heart. Live your dream like tomorrow is here and can never end.
